Our Plea

It is not uncommon to hear someone say “We have to perpetuate and protect the old time music that made its home in the Ozark Mountains”. We as leaders of the Hwy 5 North Church of Christ in Mountain View, Arkansas, are here to encourage those who worship with us to have an unwavering Loyalty to the Bible. Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that “all scripture is given by the inspiration of God” and the late Marshall Keeble used to say “The Bible is right.”

We are here to encourage loyalty to Jesus Christ. Like Peter, we need to see Jesus as the giver of eternal life (John 6:68), and like Paul, Christ needs to be our everything (Philippians 1:21; 4:13).

We are also here to encourage loyalty to the New Testament Church. We plead for a return to the New Testament plan for Redemption. As Peter taught in Acts 2, when sinners asked the question “What shall we do to be saved?” “Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of Sins, and ye shall receive the git of the Holy Ghost” Acts 2:38).
